The felt sense of safety that we create through mindful moment, breathwork and focused attention, can calm and balance the nervous system and rewire the brain into state of safety, balace and wellbeing.
Altrough trauma, depression and anxiety will show up in different ways in the body and the mind, what alll of these conditions have in common is that the individual will experience disregulated nervous system and imbalances in the brain.
There are three key elements that we can use in a yoga practice that can create a sense of a safety for the body , these are movements that are:
- Rhythmic
- Slow
- Mindful
The thoughts that we think, both positive and negative, create responces in our body, when we become mindful of our movements or of the world around us, it allows the mind to be still and we can get back in touch with the beauty and the wonder of life itself.
